On a mountain side,
I did pray.
It was toward,
The end of day.
And when I had finished,
With my requests;
I took my leave,
And headed west.
I saw the sun,
Sink from sight.
And witnessed truly,
A spectacular light.
Down from the Heavens,
Came a ray;
It lit up the mountain,
Then went away.
And as the time,
Briefly passed;
It reminded me that,
Life is fast.
Too soon we grow,
So very old.
Too late we learn,
What is gold.
Our friends and family,
Is the ray.
Our Lord and Savior,
The bright of day.
And as the night,
Slowly descends;
We must take refuge,
Among our friends.
Like the beautiful,
Mountain side;
Bathed in Heaven’s,
Golden tide.
To talk with,
our Lord,
And sing in groups,
Of one accord;
Is a wonderful gift.
To you and me.
As we traverse this life,Among our friends.
Like the beautiful,
Mountain side.
Bathed in Heaven’s,
Golden tide;
To talk with,
our Lord.
And sing in groups,
Of one accord;
Is a wonderful gift,
To you and me.
And enter eternity.
